Quest Descriptions


Slaughter At The Hillward Estate

This is one half of the main quest. It involves learning who's responsible for the murder of the entire Hillward family.

  1. Alron Greybeard and Sir Targo of House Kingsmen have asked that the player(s) learn the truth about who killed everyone.
  2. Player(s) have discovered that the culprits escaped via ship.
  3. Player(s) have found the Scay corpse, and have copy of the tattoo, but know nothing of it.
  4. Player(s) have the tattoo, and know that the culprits escaped via ship.
  5. Player(s) have a name, which they learned from Stanan.
  6. Player(s) have the name, and know that the culprits escaped via ship.
  7. Player(s) have the name and the tattoo.
  8. Player(s) have the name, the tattoo, and know that the culprits escaped via ship.
  9. Player(s) have found Garrol, who will tell them about the tattoo for 1000 pieces gold.
  10. Player(s) have found Garrol, who will tell them who the named person is for 1000 pieces gold.
  11. Garroll tells the player(s) about The Scay, and tells them to start looking in Shoreward.
  12. Player(s) learn that they must go to Stark Isle.
  13. Player(s) defeat the leader of The Scay, who tells them that Lomar and Meira are alive, and headed to Keymore.

The Political Marriage

This is the second half of the main quest. It involves locating Sir Lomar and Lady Meira. Towards the end of this quest, the party will either go towards Meira first, in which case Lomar will be killed, or they will go towards Lomar first, in which case the ritual will be completed and Meira will be cursed. If Lomar is killed, he can be raised with a scroll found on the cultist Rodor Femp. If Meira is cursed, the party will have a limited time to get her out before the curse takes her life.

  1. Alron Greybeard and Sir Targo of House Kingsmen have asked that the player(s) locate the two would-be spouses.
  2. The leader of The Scay tells the player(s) that Lomar and Meira are alive, and headed to Keymore.
  3. Player(s) have found the lair of the cult of Soferoc.
  4. Player(s) have found Sir Lomar.
  5. Player(s) have found Lomar, but he got killed.
  6. Player(s) have saved Meira from her curse, and are looking for Lomar.
  7. Player(s) have found Sir Lomar, and then Meira, but she has been cursed.
  8. Player(s) have saved Meira from her curse, but when they found Lomar, he was dead.
  9. Player(s) have raised Lomar from the dead.
  10. The curse has killed Lady Meira.
  11. The curse has killed Lady Meira, and Lomar is dead.
  12. The game is over. Player(s) saved only Lomar.
  13. The game is over. Player(s) saved only Meira.
  14. The game is over. Player(s) saved Lomar and Meira.
  15. The game is over. Lomar and Meira are both dead.

Grain Smugglers

A guard in Ellderan asks the player(s) to help in bringing smugglers to justice. PCs may be able to buy or threaten the information out of dock hands, and learn when and where the smugglers are meeting.

  1. A guard has asked the player(s)to find the smugglers.
  2. One of the dockhands lets the player(s) know where the smugglers are meeting, under the assumption that the player(s) wants to work.
  3. The player(s) have bribed the information out of a dockhand.
  4. The player(s) have told the guards about the smugglers instead of finishing things up himself.
  5. The player(s) helped the smugglers load crates.
  6. The player(s) have killed the smugglers.

Timor Versus Keymore

Captain Furgeson of the Timorian Army asks the player(s) to destroy the ballistae. The ballistae will fire continuously until destroyed. The three Timorian soldiers will respawn endlessly. The six Keymore soldiers will respawn so long as the tent each is associated with remains intact. There are three tents, two men per tent. Once they are destroyed, the Keymore soldiers stop respawning.

  1. Player(s) have been asked.
  2. Player(s) have succeeded.

Entyra's Ring

A woman named Entyra at the Riverside Inn asks the player(s) to help her find a ring she has lost near a cave. The ring is generated in the Raven Hills at the time the quest is given.

  1. Entyra has asked the player(s) to find her ring.
  2. Player(s) have found Entyra's ring.
  3. Player(s) have returned Entyra's ring to her.
  4. Player(s) have decded to keep Entyra's ring - this journal entry is only recorded when players talk to her and refuse to give her the ring.

Farmers, and Loggers, and Hunters, oh my!

This is a quest created by my friend DoomEngine, intended to be somewhat humorous. Beauford the farmer tells the player(s) that strange things are happening in the woods. In truth, what's been happening is that an evil druid has been killing loggers who've been harming the trees and loggers who've been killing animals.

  1. Beauford warns the player(s) that strange things are happening.
  2. Players have found and killed the evil druid.

Hired As A Henchman

This side quest is one of my favorites. A man by the name of Hura hires the player as a henchman, and leads him through an infested warehouse.

  1. Hura has found the players and asked them to meet him outside the warehouse.
  2. Inside the warehouse.
  3. The vermin inside the warehouse have all been disposed of.
  4. Hura has been killed, and the player(s) get no reward.

Special Delivery

A man by the name of Westian asks the player(s) to deliver a message for him, and it turns out to be an extortion letter. Player(s) can decide to keep up the threat, or take vengeance on Westian.

  1. Westian has asked the player(s) to deliver a message to Jonan the baker. The player(s) have no idea that it is an extortion letter.
  2. The player(s) have found out that Westian is extorting Jonan, and have decided to collect payment from him.
  3. The player(s) have found out that Westian is extorting Jonan, and have decided to confront Westian.
  4. The player(s) have found out that Westian is extorting Jonan, and have decided to collect payment from him.
  5. The player(s) have killed Westian.

Eyona Temple Crypt

The player(s) have weaseled the fact that there are crypts beneath the temple out of one of the priestesses, and convinced the high priestess to allow access to them. They're supposed to retrieve the Life Seeds.

  1. The player(s) plan to enter the crypts and search for the Life Seeds.
  2. The player(s) have retrieved the Life Seeds and returned them to the priestesses.
